VOLUNTEER NATURAL DISASTER RELIEF
Our Story
In 2018 Hurricane Florence hit the east coast of North Carolina. Inspired by the heroes and heroines of the Cajun Navy, a small group of us founded the Panther Armada. Initially it was founded to do volunteer search and rescue work.
We have been privileged to work hurricanes all over, flash flooding with our homeless friends in Austin, Texas, and forest fires in Southern California. As of late, we worked gorge and river flooding in the Appalachian mountains.
With the catastrophic arrival of Hurricane Helene, we have decided to expand our services beyond search and rescue to include, among other things, wellness checks (ie, if there’s a family member you cannot locate let us find them for you), distribution of emergency supplies & general daily living supplies, free legal consulting, FEMA assistance, and volunteer medical care.
Actually, there is much more that we do than this, and we prefer, instead of telling you what all we do, to simply say…
